I have been wanting to photograph a wedding at the Thorncrown Chapel for so long. So when Betsy told me that she and Louis would be renewing their vows at the Thorncrown, I was over the moon excited! This glass chapel is located in the middle of the Ozarks surrounded by moss covered rocks and pine and oak trees reaching tall towards the Arkansas sky. Betsy was also able to use the bridal suite at the New Moon Day Spa and Salon located in the historic 1886 Crescent Hotel to get ready.
Renewing your vows is such a beautiful thing to do and is a great way to reflect on your years together and how far you have come through your marriage as a team. And when you have children a long the way, you have an awesome ring bearer that is there to help you celebrate your family and your deepened love for one another.
Cheers to Betsy and Louis on renewing their vows and here is to many more years to come!
Having your best friend stand beside you while you marry your other best friend is one of the world's greatest feelings.
Someone was not happy when mommy and daddy were renewing their vows. Betsy told me afterwards that before the wedding her son, Matthew, told her that he wanted to marry mommy. So, when he saw that mommy was marrying daddy he got very upset because he wasn't the one up there with her. Of course they brought him up there with them to be a part of this very special moment.
